Stem Cell Therapy
A faster way to get back to doing the things you love.
Some of the conditions regenerative stem cell therapy can help:
- Knee injuries (MCL, ACL, PCL, LCL Sprains or Tears)
- Hip or Labral Tears
- Shoulder Damage
- Chronic and Lower Back Pain
- Chronic Neck Pain
- Wrist or Elbow
- Achilles Tendon
- Ankle Pain, Foot Pain
- Plantar Fasciitis
The future of medicine is now.
We offer our patients the most effective, safe, and advanced regenerative stem cell therapy available. This unique type of mesenchymal stem cell therapy activates the body’s own self-healing mechanisms for cellular/tissue regeneration and repair. After over a year of research and collaborating with doctors around the country to gain knowledge and proof of results, we made the decision to bring this game changing therapy to our patients. Together, with our New Hampshire Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, we use the most advanced and personalized protocols to address your condition. The key advantage for this type of stem cell therapy is that it does not require any surgery and the results have proven to far exceed the common surgery-based autologous procedures. Your recovery is faster with less potential for complications.
There is a time and place for medication and surgery, and finally there is a safe and effective place for regenerative biologics such as stem cell therapy.

About Human Umbilical Cord Derived Stem Cell Therapy
The Center for Functional Medicine & Wellbeing utilizes cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
Among many other things, mesenchymal stem cells from the umbilical cord blood are known to have three very important properties:
- Help reduce inflammation
- Modulate the immune system and
- Secrete factors that helps tissue to regenerate
Because umbilical cord blood stem cells are less mature than other cells, the body’s immune system is unable to recognize them as foreign and therefore they are not rejected. Thousands of patients have been treated with umbilical cord stem cells and there has never been a single instance rejection. Umbilical cord stem cells also proliferate more efficiently than “older” cells, such as those found in the bone marrow and therefore, they are considered to be more potent.
What are mesenchymal cells?
In scientific terms, they are multipotent stromal cells that can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including cartilage, bone, neurons, fat and muscle. Multipotent means they can turn into multiple cell types and they are progenitor cells, so they have gene activation potential to differentiate into discrete cell types, but divide a limited number of times. This is naturally occuring built-in safety to prevent undesired cell division.
Umbilical cord stem cells reside in the umbilical cords from healthy newborn babies and healthy mothers. Like all post-natal cells, they are categorized as “adult” stem cells. The umbilical cord tissue is donated by pre-screened healthy mothers and healthy babies in the United States. We abide by all of the most stringent FDA and medical guidelines. Your safety, results and comfort are our top concern. The cells are rigorously tested and screened under National Institutes of Health (NIH), FDA, American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) guidelines.
We selected Human Umbilical Cord Stem Cell Therapy for a number of reasons:
- Human umbilical cord blood stem cells contain mesenchymal stem cells and garner amazing regenerative results.
- It is a very safes stem cell therapy option and does not require surgery.
- There are no negative side effects and the cells are undifferentiated, therefore the body does not reject them. In fact umbilical cord stem cells have been used for over thirty-five years to help reduce the chance of organ transplant rejection.
How do they work?
Simply stated, human umbilical cord stem cells have an innate intelligence and activate the body’s own self-healing mechanisms. They seek out inflammation and degenerations – They go where your body needs them to go and become what your body needs them to become. In other words, they give your body a boost of fresh, “day 0”, very young stem cells to help with regeneration. Our stem cells age with us and we lose a significant percentage over time. That’s why at about age 35, we can’t recover like we used to.
What do mesenchymal stem cells do?
- Seek out degeneration
They build, repair and grow new tissue
They are effective in reducing inflammation and pain
They help modulate the body’s immune responses
We aim to provide the most effective regenerative treatments to reduce suffering and minimize medication or surgery for our patients.
