What is Exercising With Oxygen Therapy?

Exercise with Oxygen Therapy or EWOT (pronounced E-Watt) is the act of breathing higher concentrations of oxygen during exercise. To begin, we use an oxygen generator to fill a large medical grade bag that holds 900 liters of oxygen. A customized high-flow mask is attached to the bag (you use your own personal mask so sanitation is not an issue). Once you put on the mask and start exercising every breath you take is now comprised of 93% oxygen. It’s important to point out the normal air we all breathe is comprised of 21% oxygen. When you inhale, the O2 mask connected to the bag of oxygen does not allow any room air into your lungs. Only the oxygen in the bag is inhaled as a valve in the mask opens, then, as you exhale, CO2 exits through the CO2 port on the mask.
